The Clean Up: Disasters and the Aftermath
of Waste
Solid Waste Association of North America
Northern Lights Chapter Conference
March 12 – 14, 2012
Keystone Centre, Brandon, MB

More about the conference:
The 2012 SWANA Northern Lights Chapter Conference focuses on the
clean-up of waste left behind following recent natural disasters
in our communities. From fires and floods to tornadoes and hailstorms,
the Northern Lights Chapter has a lot of experience to share. Registration
at the conference is expected from across Canada and the United
States.
In addition to the discussion around waste and natural disasters,
Brandon and the Northern Lights region have many projects and programs
that will serve as a backdrop for discussions, networking and learning.
The new Hazardous Waste Stewardship programs in Manitoba, Brandon's
landfill gas collection system and the re-use of demolition waste
[in many Prairie cities] provide great opportunities to learn more
from our peers and colleagues working in the challenging and rewarding
environment of solid waste.
Conference features:
