Scholarship Program

Every year, SWANA shows their commitment to post secondary education through scholarships. Applications and information on SWANA scholarships are available at: http://www.swana.org/_Membership/Awards/Scholarships/tabid/118/Default.aspx

In addition to the scholarships available through SWANA, the SWANA Northern Lights Chapter established a scholarship in 1989 for the children and grandchildren of SWANA Northern Lights Chapter members entering post secondary education. Two scholarships of $500 each are awarded in the fall. The first of the two scholarships is available to a student entering their first year of post secondary education and the other is for a post secondary student in any year other than their entry year. The program they are enrolled in should have some broad potential future linkage to solid waste management or environmental services.

To apply for both a SWANA and a SWANA Northern Lights Chapter Scholarship, applicants only need to fill out the application available from the SWANA website http://swana.org/Portals/ExcellenceAwards/ScholarshipApplication11.pdf.
